Mohave Community College is hosting a makeup prom for those who missed it due to COVID or want to relive that high school memory. The event is free and will feature music, dancing, light refreshments, and photos. Community members ages 18 and up are invited to attend the makeup prom from 7-10 PM, Saturday, March 25 at MCC’s Beale Street Center, 309 E Beale Street in Kingman. “The idea came from some of our students being disappointed that they missed their prom due to COVID,” said Erin Roper, MCC Kingman campus librarian. “This is a chance for everyone who ever missed their prom got stood up had a bad date or terrible time to have a second chance or if you loved your prom experience come down and enjoy some nostalgia.” The theme is “Decades” and attendees will have an opportunity to participate in three different prom court categories: best dressed couple, most authentic decades outfit, and most creative outfit. The event is sponsored by Student Activities Council-Kingman campus and the Mohave Community College Foundation-Kingman chapter with support from Phoenix Truck Driving Institute, Kingman Area Chamber of Commerce and Mohave Community College Alumni Association.
